Flu Vaccination Update- posted 12/11/12
We will no longer require the flu vaccination, but we do still strongly recommend that if your vet carries this vaccine, that you get your dog vaccinated. It can be a deadly virus, as we saw several years ago at the greyhound tracks, but not all vets carry the vaccine and some say they cannot get the vaccine. This seems to be determine by the remoteness of their location. I will keep my dogs vaccinated, mainly because of the influx of out-of-state and off-cape dogs during June and September.
Please talk it over with your veterinarian, to see what they recommend. Let them help you determine whether the vaccination is necessary for your dog.
